Believe it or not, in the late 19th Century, physicians created a fictional medical condition known as 'Bicycle Face' claiming that the stresses from riding would result in physical distortion to the face of women who took up the wheel.

Pause ... NOT!

You see, the bicycle was gaining quite the popularity at this time and strong efforts were made to prevent women from experiencing this newfound freedom.

Fast forward and women riding bikes is no new thing, and that includes here in northern Michigan. Bicycle Face, based out of Traverse City MI is creating a space for women to grab their bike and head to the woods. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned rider this community is for you.

Bicycle Face and proud of it?

Join us on a ride, it would be great to meet your face!
